Web site updates

1/18/04 - Archives section added

I've added an archives section to the web site to list the correspondence I send out to those who subscribe to the Climber Mail list and members of the Southeast Climbers Registry. I'll soon be sending out an e-mail message to those on the Mail List near the first of each month to keep you updated on events, do simple surveys, and inform you of significant website improvements. I’ll strive to be concise and not be a bother. If you’d like to remain listed at the web site and NOT receive these monthly e-mails, you can change your entry from the Climber Mail List to the Southeast Climber’s Registry by e-mailing me at wayneb4737@aol.com. The Archives section will list these messages and help you locate any replies to surveys. It also shows you what you may expect if you wish to subscribe to the Climber Mail list and records when the lists are updated.

The Trip Reports section has finally been brought up to date. It has taken nearly a year for me to bring all the reports into a single consistent format. Even though I retired a few of the oldest reports and removed broken links to several remotely hosted reports, more than 75 remain. The trip reports have helped guide many climbers to explore new areas and learn from those that have gone before them.

During the process of updating the Trip Reports section, I re-scanned most of the images to improve their resolution, added links to enlargements, and categorized them into the appropriate photo gallery. There are now more than 500 climbing photos posted in the Photo Galleries.
