AMGA Top Rope Site Manager Program for 2006
The AMGA Top Rope
Site Manager Program is made up of the 4 day, 40 hour Top Rope Site
Manager Course and the separate 1 day Top Rope Site Manager Certification
Exam. The Top Rope Site Manager Course is the first level of AMGA
training in the rock discipline, emphasizing the educational and
technical proficiency necessary to instruct top rope climbing in
a group setting. The Top Rope Site Manager Course is targeted at
outdoor instructors, aspiring guides, and climbers who facilitate
top rope climbing programs in group settings such as Summer Camps,
Schools, Universities, Therapeutic Groups, Climbing Schools, and
national programs such as NOLS and Outward Bound. This 40 hour course
is intended to help transition recreational climbers into becoming
model climbing instructors. The course revisits and improves existing
skills and thought processes.
